Di antara Nobat-nobat tersebut, Nobat Diraja Kedahlah yang dianggap paling tua usianya dan paling bersejarah yang masih aktif hingga kini. Kajian mengenai Nobat Diraja Kedah ini dijalankan bagi mendalami lagi kesenian mengenainya dan mendedahkan kepada pengetahuan umum. Sebenarnya kajian ini merupakan langkah awal dan pertama sekali dilakukan dan diharapkan membuahkan ahsil yang baik.
