  Ayat pasif bahasa Melayu

  Abstrak
  Disertasi ini merupakan cubaan awal berhubung dengan kajian terhadap ayat pasif Bahasa Melayu dengan mengguakan pendekatan model Transfomasi-Generatif berdasarkan model Jacobs dan Rosenbaum (1986) terhadap bahasa Inggeris.
  Kajian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengenalpasti bentuk-bentuk pasif dalam Bahasa Melayu, iaitu dengan cara mengkaji dan menganalisis ayat-ayat pasif yang terdapat di dalam teks Sejarah Melayu dan Dewan Masyarakat , iaitu yang mewakili teks lama dan teks moden.
  Analisis ini meninjau struktur pasif dari segi ayat pasif dengan ganti nama diri dan ayat pasif bukan dengan ganti nama diri. Ayat pasif dengan ganti nama diri terdiri daripada ayat pasif KGDL,KGD2 dan KGD3 dan ayat pasif bukan dengan ganti
  nama diri pula terdiri daripada pasif ter-,pasif kena,pasif ber-,dan pasif ke-...-an. Tiap-tiap jenis pasif tersebut mempunyai berbagai-bagai struktur variasinya tersendiri.
  Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat perbezaan yang nyata antara pola-pola penggunaarn ayat pasif dalam Bahasa Melayulama dan Bahasa Melayu moden. Yang paling nyata ialah teks Melayu lama lebih banyak variasi dibandingkan dengan ayat pasif di dalam teks Melayu moden.
