Sunggoh pun dasar kajian-nya hampir serupa dengan kajian theses itu, latehan ini hanya merupakan satu kajian yang singkat terhadap satu bidang yang maha luas lagi mendalam. Penulis memang sedar betapa luas-nya bidang sastera Melayu dan dalam latehan pendek ini penulis akan memberi beberapa pandangan yang dapat munkin, walau pun pendapat2 atau pun pandangan-nya agak kontroversial dan ada kala agak tipis.
