Setakat kajian ini dijalankan, penulis dimaklumkan bahawa kumpulan-kumpulan Barongan boleh didapati di beberapa buah kampung terutamanya di sekitar daerah-daerah Batu Pahat, Pontian dan Muar di negeri Johor.
