Antara dapatan penting kajian ini ia berupaya melihat sifat, ideologi dan agenda kolonial terhadap masyarakat peribumi. Kajian ini juga turut memperlihatkan kesan daripada proses hegemoni, ambivalens, mimikri dan mockery di antara dua kuasa yang terlibat.
