Andaian-andaian awal meletalkkan bahawa SA merupakan se buah syair yang berpengaruh Hindu dan juga Jawa. Berdasarkan penelitian ke atas plot, tema watak dan perwatakan dalam syair ini, ternyata ianya menanpakkan persamaan dengan HSR dan CP berdasarkan ketiga-tiga aspek tersebut.
