"The Jah Hut is also a small tribe, and they are all found in Pahang. Writing in 1976, Carey says there were about 2000 of them, a figure which does not seem to show any increase from the onw given in the census of 1969. Carey also writes that there is cultural affinity between the Jah Hut, and another much smaller tribe, the Che Wong (1976, p.132)."
