Dublin Core

Description

After the collapse of Soviet Union and the end of Cold War, many westerners perceived Islamic fundamentalism as a new threat to the western world. As such there have been a lot of misconceptions about Islam. This research paper try to find out why such misconception exist and is Islam really a threat to the "new world order"?

Most of the acedemics facts and datas of this research were obtained from secondary publications. The result of the research proved that Islam is actually a religion of peace and pose no threat to anybody. Neutral Christian scholars such as John L. Esposito, Daniel Pipes and William Watt Montgomery tend to agree to this fact. The bad image of Islam were mostly portrayed by the Zionists because by presenting Islam as evil and Muslims as loathsome they try to justify their immoral usurpation and annexation of the Arab land. The Zionist intended to camouflage their violence and oppression by depicting their enemies (mostly Arab Muslims) as aggressors. This is why most Palestinians and Arabs real freedom fighters who resists the Israelis evil conducts were invariably described in the western media as 'terrorist', 'militants' and 'extremism'.

The resurgence of Islamic fundamentalism is due to muslims believe that Islam is away of life and its teaching is compatible to modernity and time. The western way of life is no more suitable and is regarded as an alien to Islamic civilization today. The Quran and the sunnah are the guidance to mankind that will led to the best way of life in this world and the world hereafter.
