"The Negrito as seen in the Kintak Bong, have traditionally depended on hunting and gathering activities to fulfill all their daily requirements, but this situation is rapidly changing as they become increasingly dependent on economic exchange with the outsiders, including waged labour. Their traditional economic activities, however, still play a role and the forest is still an important component of their subsistence base. Nomadism and semi nomadism is a survival strategy, both economically and politically."
